The French Market: Marin County's Outdoor Antique Market
This weekend: April 10th
Held Every Second Saturday of the Month
April through October
Directions: 10 Avenue of the FlagsSan Rafael, CA
I had the pleasure of exploring this gem of a market back in the fall of 2014 (Yikes! Has it really been that long ago?). Just as my heart was missing my weekends in Paris, (relive some of my memories here) news about the Marin County French Flea Market swept in to rescue. Between 'flea markets in Bay Area' google searches and explorations, thankfully, I discovered the Marin County French Flea Market on their last weekend before closing up for Winter.
This markets authenticity and sense of creating community definitely left an impression on me. What I particularly loved was how relaxing the environment was. The atmosphere was laid back, the crowd was not overwhelming, and the goods were just real good. I truly felt like this market lived up to it's name as being true to the french experience. Everything from picnic tables, to crepes, to live music, this market presents an ambiance that just can't be beat.
And must I mention, Parking and Admission are free! Talk about being a gift to the community..
You surely won't want to miss out. A visit to this market will have you humming french tunes and craving crepes for the rest of the week.
