Long Beach Antique Market
When I think of Long Beach: I'm most likely thinking Airport.
Chances are if I'm driving to Long Beach, I'm usually on a mission to catch the next flight back on up to San Francisco. So venturing up to Long Beach this past Sunday, to check in on some antiques rather than to check in a piece of luggage, was extremely refreshing.
Held every 3rd Sunday of the month, Long Beach's Antique Market is held on the perimeters of the Veterans Memorial Stadium.
What I enjoyed about this market was it's overall relaxed nature. I felt really overwhelmed by chaotic crowds & difficult parking situations at Pasadena last Sunday. But at Long Beach, the parking was simple, the crowd was quiet, & the deals were good.
I also enjoyed the configuration of this flea market. It was very simple & easy to navigate.
Vendors parked their vans in lines. And many cleverly used their vehicles to display their valuables.
Beneath that bright blue sky, we browsed for only treasures, divine.
I loved peaking over at the bead vendors. Their alluring arrangements of gems are polished, & organized to perfection.
Not surprisingly, I found my deal of the day down on the ground. I'll take an overhead, industrial metal light for $6 any day.
And you see that Teak Table way back there? Well, I sure didn't. But my mom had the eye & we snatched the deal. She had been wanting to switch up the seating in our backyard for a while & this table was just too fitting to pass up.
Just put a little paint on it.
Since Sunday marked my last weekend in Orange County, I say so long to SoCal Flea Markets! It sure has been fun searching these sunshine filled markets & seeing more of Southern California than just my usual spots.
